Win at AjPHA World Judging Contest
More than 300 youth gathered
Friday, June 30 at the Will Rogers Coliseum for the American
Junior Paint Horse Association,
Fort Worth
,
Texas
, (AjPHA) World Championship Horse Judging Contest. This
contest is considered the largest comprehensive horse judging
contest in the nation.
Youth entered in this event
judged four halter and four performance classes. Contestants
evaluated four horses in each class. When the youth finished
judging all eight classes, a panel of judges reviewed the
placings and heard oral presentations by each youth. Contestants
placing in the top ten in each division were honored at an
awards breakfast, Saturday, July 1st.

The Missouri Junior Paint Horse
Club (MjPHC) Junior Team, consisted of Michaela Brinkley,
Trimble; Olivia Mack,
St. Charles
; Moriah Hart,
Princeton
; and Jake Letner, Harris.
The Team placed Third in
Halter; First in Performance; Fourth in Reasons and Third
Overall in the national level contest. Individual Top Ten
Honors were earned by Jake Letner, Seventh in Halter; Tenth in
Performance and Sixth Overall; Olivia Mack, Third in
Performance, Fourth in Reasons and Ninth Overall; Michaela
Brinkley, Seventh in Performance and Tenth Overall.

The Missouri Junior Paint Horse
Club (MjPHC) Senior Team, coached by Bryan Bergeson, consisted
of Blair Bergeson, Mora; Kristen Caraway, Oak Grove; Jamie Hart,
Princeton
;and Will Letner, Harris.
The Team placed fourth overall
in the National level contest. Individual Top Ten Honors were
earned by Blair Bergeson, who was 3rd high individual in
Performance; 8th in Oral Reasons and 3rd Overall in the Contest.
